Created molds from a starfish and sea shells then poured plaster/silica into molds to make replicas of the objects. These were affixed to the bottom of a vermiculite box and glass billets were placed on top. After 2 days in the kiln, glass melted and cooled leaving behind impressions of the shells and starfish.
